People may not expect that Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young’s chemistry will definitely be one of the reasons why “Strong Woman Do Bong Soo” made it big. Let me tell you that it is actually the top most reason why the show is definitely a must-watch.

Park Bo Young’s Do Bong Soon and Park Hyung Sik’s Ahn Min Hyuk’s chemistry was a good one. That can be proven with the several dating rumors these lead casts are getting during and even after the JTBC series has ended.

Because of the drama series, Bo Young and Hyung Sik got a nomination (as of writing) to the prestigious 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards as Best Actress and Best New Actor, respectively. The awards ceremony is held to honor outstanding achievements in South Korea’s entertainment industry.

Ji Soo, who was tagged by many fans as the “King of Second Lead,” with his character, Gook Du has helped created the character development of Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young.)

Though the drama series does not promise a stellar supporting casts, Im Won Hee and Kim Won Hae’s participation in the series has definitely made everyone laugh their heart outs with their comedic banter against the protagonists.

For the first time in JTBC’s history, “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” broke records, making it the network’s most watched series. It is good to point out that this drama series airs on a cable network which normally has a relatively fewer audience compared to public broadcasts network. It garnered a whooping of 10.261 percent of viewership ratings as the highest ratings attained by the romance comedy series.

The show’s original soundtracks also garnered attention from audiences. The Part 3 OST titled “How Would it Be” by Standing Egg has reached 93rd spot in Gaon chart. “Double Trouble Couple” by MAMAMOO and “I Fall In Love” by Vromance feat. Obroject reached 46 and 99th spot, respectively.

Aside from the romance and comedy aspect of the series, “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” inserted thriller and action parts with the kidnapping cases on the female lead’s place. The appearance of Jang Mi Kwan was also a shocker in a positive note, though.

It’s the first time that I have seen a Korean drama series wherein the female lead is the main focus because of her super strength. The whole story also clearly points out gender equality and women empowerment, citing crimes against women and seeing women as weak opponents in different fields.

If you haven’t watched “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” then why? Watch it or you may regret it later!
