BtoB’s Yook Sungjae revealed that he lamented his lack of love interests in previous dramas (Who are You: School 2015, Goblin). But it looks like he now prefers to play a villain role more than being the male lead role.
“I want to play a villain in my next project because it would be different than anything I have done before,” the Korean idol shared after the “The Star” photoshoot together with BtoB members.
It can be recalled that while he was casted in “Goblin,” he was sad because of his lack of romance on-screen partner in the series in which he said he wanted to try to have an on-screen romance partner even once.
“It would be good if I had a love line. Even during the press conference earlier, I had to stand on stage by myself, so it was lonely,” the BtoB member said during the “Goblin” press conference.
Fans were reported to be rejecting any possibility of the Korean idol’s involvement in a romance story. “Goblin” was his fourth drama but he said he had not any fulfilled love ever since.
The BtoB’s maknae was noted to be successful on his solo projects. He was widely known after he starred in “Who are You: School 2015,” his appearance with Red Velvet’s Joy in variety program “We Got Married” and the tvN’s successful fantasy series “Goblin.”
Meanwhile, BtoB’s Yook Sungjae will be featured on the pilot episode of newest variety show titled “Secret Variety Training Institute” which will be aired on May 5 at 6:20pm Korean time on MBC.
