South Korean Netflix Series ‘Kingdom’ Starts Production for Season 2

Kingdom season 2 on Netflix is coming!

Netflix’s original South Korean series “Kingdom” which premiered on January 2019 is reported to start its production for its second season this February.

It is no-brainer that the series gets season 2 as the Korean zombie genre show has successfully frightened Netflix viewers all over the words and garnered positive reviews.

After its premiere on January 25, viewers said that the six episodes mystery historical thriller drama is a unique story for zombie-related genre. The Korea Times also reported that online users outside Korea showed interest in the Korean traditional hat “Gat”, which were worn by the characters on screen.

“Kingdom” is centered on a crown prince trying to unlock the secrets behind the people who rose from the dead, including finding out who did it.

The historical zombie series is adapted from the webcomic series titled “The Kingdom of the Gods” which was penned by Kim Eun Hee and drawn by Yang Kyung Il.

A-list South Korean actors Ryu Seung Ryong (Miracle in Cell No. 7), Ju Ji Hoon (Along with the Gods), Bae Doo Na (The Tunnel) and Kim Sung Gyu starred the series.
