Aside from “Running Man,” the ace Song Ji Hyo is also busy for her own beauty program titled “Song Ji Hyo’s Beauty View”. She and her partner emcee, 5urprise’s Gong Myung provides beauty guide to all viewers.
“I didn’t know I would become the MC of a beauty program,” Song Ji Hyo said, as cited in Soompi. “[Fans say I’m wasting my good looks but] it’s not that I’m wasting them. Although I have the ambition and the interest [in makeup], my hands won’t follow along. They’re clumsy hands.” (Her exact words were actually “crap hands.”)
Despite this confession, the producers of the show shared why they chose the actress to become the host of the show saying, “"Song Ji Hyo is a national star with a lovely, bright, healthy image, who's active on dramas and variety shows. However, she is a beginner in beauty. She desires to learn about beauty through the program and wants to share easy beauty tips with people who are not familiar with beauty themselves."
The program started airing in January 19 and on its second episode in January 26, Song Ji Hyo and Gong Myung reportedly showed more brother-sister chemistry and that their performance is seemingly better as they adapt on the program’s genre.
To recall, the 35-year-old actress shared her first impression of the “Let’s Drink” actor saying, “"I knew Gong Myung but it was the first time that I actually talked to him. He's a friend who's brighter than I thought, and he really feels like a little brother to me; I think because of our age gap."
"While filming together, he was very quick and had a great sense of humor. He's a really good guy. Now, we've become close enough that we joke around a lot. He's a really handsome, pretty dongsaeng,” she added.
Meanwhile, Gong Myung, as cited in Ilgan Sports, also expressed himself saying, “It is my greatest pleasure to be able to be with Song Ji Hyo.”
“Song Ji Hyo’s Beauty View” is a beauty guide program which targets personal preferences and matches beauty and makeup tips to different individuals. It airs every Thursday at 9.20 p.m. KST on JTBC2 and Naver V app.
