Just before the heartwarming finale episode of MBC’s “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo,” Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk reportedly received offers for roles in different dramas. The two performed well in their last drama that it's no brainer for them to received such great offers.
It was Nam Joo Hyuk who was first reported to have an offer as lead in an upcoming tvN drama series titled “Bride of the Water God.”
Producers of TV series “Incomplete Life” and “Nine: Nine Time Travels” are excited to bring the in-demand actor and model to star in the spinoff version of the fantasy romance comics (manhwa) to life.
“Currently, Jung Yoon Jung has written four episodes, and we will soon be making decisions on the director and supporting cast. In order to maximize the quality of the drama, we will be pre-producing the drama,” the CEO of the production company, Kim Mi Na said.
"It's true that Nam Joo Hyuk has been offered the lead role in “Bride of the Water God”, but nothing has been confirmed,” YG Entertainment confirmed the news. So, will the 22-year-old actor accept the role?
“Bride of the Water God” is a story about a Water God, who is willing to end a drought in a village in exchange of a young bride.
Fans of both Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung want to have Sung Kyung star alongside Joo Hyuk too in the tvN series. But, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Lee Sung Kyung, on the other hand has revealed to be starring in "Broker" (working title) film as Cha Yeon Hee.
Meanwhile, the two leads may have been enjoying a rest after filming “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.” Here’s a picture of them in Instagram posted by Nam Joo Hyuk with a caption written in Korean and the word "forever" which made fans swoon, based on some comments left by fans on his Instagram post.
