Jung Joon Young’s Return in ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ Garners 20 Percent Viewership Ratings

After a short hiatus since September 2016, Jung Joon Young has returned to filming for the famous variety show of KBS, “2 Days & 1 Night” and it looks like fans truly missed him and the episode of his return increased the show’s viewership ratings.

On January 22 episode of the variety show, Jung Joon Young stayed hidden while his other co-members participated in various games. The games’ goal was the members to say Jung Joon Young’s name in order to meet up with him. However the casts only mentioned his name 9 times. Jung Joon Young can only meet them if they can mention his name up to 30 times.

Since there was no hope at all, the staff came up a game called “Say My Name,” where the members need to touched Joon Young’s face and guess his name. Finally, he got a chance to came back to the show after.

“I wish Jung Joon Young came out. I missed him so much,” Yoon Shi Yoon ( Dong Gu) said.

“Hello. This is Jung Joon Young. I really missed ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ all this time. I will work hard to not let the audience down from now on,” Jung Joon Young said surprising his co-members.

The said episode and January 15 all garnered more than 20 percent in viewership ratings. The January 15 episode garnered 20.3 percent while January 22 episode garnered 20.4 percent.

During the January 29 episode of “2 Days & 1 Night,” Jung Joon Young opened up about when he missed the show the most saying, ““I remember the first time I was on this show, we shared a room back then too” (talking to Yoon Shi Yoon).

He also jokingly scolds his other co-members saying, “From Kim Yoo Jung’s episode on, you stopped talking about me. Didn’t you even tell me to leave our group text?”

“You deserted me in only two weeks,” the singer said.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old singer will be appearing on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.”

“Jung Joon Young has recently been confirmed to appear on ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.’ We are working with the staff of the show to set a date for recording,” a rep from C9 Entertainment stated.

Jung Joon Young will also release his full solo album in February. Moreover, he will be holding his first concert in Seoul this coming February 25 and continue to tour around Daegu and Daejeon in March this year.
